special education and bilingual certification.

•Tuition assisted Masters in Special Education for teachers in NYC Community School Districts 10, 11, & 12 and Yonkers
Public Schools, and Archdiocese Non-Public Schools.
•The grant promotes full qualification for new and/or uncertified teachers pursuing general, special education and
bilingual certification.
New York City Department of Education Bilingual Education
Scholarship Program for Special Education
Project Director Dr. E. Kosky
•Provides full tuition for the Masters in Special Education with bilingual extension for individuals not currently NYC DOE
teachers.
•The grant leads to certification in the following areas dual childhood/special education (grades 1-6) with abilingual
extension.
•Individuals are required to teach in NYC Public Schools for a specified time as repayment for the scholarship.
•Application must be made to both Manhattan College and New York City Department of Education Bilingual Scholarship
